George Harland is officially branching out and launching a fresh chapter by trading under a new, dedicated venture at georgeharland.com called Harland Maintenance.
This lone venture marks an exciting milestone in our enduring family legacy, allowing us to carry forward decades of trusted trade values into a modern, independent service. We are incredibly enthusiastic about this new journey and look forward to delivering the same exceptional standards of workmanship directly to our community.
As part of our commitment to transparent trading, we want to clarify our current Value Added Tax (VAT) status. Under current HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) regulations, a UK business is only required to register for VAT if its taxable turnover exceeds the statutory threshold of £90,000 within a rolling 12-month period. Because this new, independent venture operates below this £90,000 limit, the business is not yet VAT liable.
What this means for our customers:
Direct Savings: We do not add 20% VAT to our property maintenance labor invoices.
Cost-Effective Rates: Homeowners and non-VAT-registered clients pay exactly what is quoted without hidden tax additions.
Full Transparency: We actively track our turnover to ensure ongoing compliance with HMRC VAT registration rules.
